Our client seeks a talented Chief Financial Officer to join their hands-on team as we roll up your sleeves and charge ahead into another record-breaking year. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be vital to our client’s leadership team. You will effectively and professionally participate in and assist with the company’s day-to-day SEC reporting, finance, and accounting. As the CFO, you will operate with high integrity, professionalism, and efficiency.

To thrive, you should have:

  • Ability to relocate to an office in Ft Lauderdale or Sarasota, FL
  • Experience with public company financial leadership
  • A genuine interest and experience in consumer-packaged goods
  • Comfortable with an entrepreneurial culture
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities, well-organized, and excellent attention to detail
  • A positive and flexible attitude and excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) to all levels of management
  • Ability to interact with a variety of departments in a positive, professional manner
  • Ten to fifteen years of relevant financial management experience with increasing responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
  • Experience taking a business/company through multiple phases of its lifecycle: organic growth, mergers, and acquisitions
  • Unconditional integrity and commitment to financial accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and achieve results within a team environment
  • Must be able to manage ambiguity and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work extended hours as the work may dictate

Your Objectives as the CFO will include: 

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization’s accounting and finance function and performance
  • Lead the team to complete all SEC filings with on-time performance and accuracy
  • Participate in the development of the corporation’s plans and programs as a strategic partner and leader
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action
  • Improve or develop new business processes to assess financial effectiveness for greater transparency, more accurate reporting, and better identification of cost-saving opportunities
  • Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to assist the CEO, President, Board of Directors, and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges
  • Provide technical and financial advice and coaching to the finance and accounting teams
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization, such as acquisitions
  • Optimize the handling of banking, debt, and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs
  • Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any material contracts into which the Corporation may enter
  • Develop appropriate benchmarking tools, including comparisons to the company’s primary public company pier group
  • Instill a culture that emphasizes accountability and transparency among the finance team and strong working relationships with the operations team
