Job Description

Main Purpose of position:

Will be responsible for Review and implementation of Safety /HSE plan. Leading safety team ,POC. Presenting the project HSE related information as per Client requirement. Supporting Project Head in managing the project HSE related works.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Should possess in depth knowledge of project HSE (Safety) ,compliances ,standards , health well being etc. Review and comment on the Health & Safety plan of the vendor And Implement, maintain & approve contractors EHS document as per standards /code practice requirements.

2. Define and organize entry of personnel, vehicles, tools & tackles and machineries by thorough scrutinization of their documents and necessary PTW. Establish Safety park at site through vendor and ensure display of all standards PPE’s ,tools ,accessories ,Method statements , permits etc .

3.Monitor the implementation of work permit system and client approval . Record and report safety violations, incidents and report for non-compliance etc. Check and coordinate for the method statement approval.

4.Review of Work at height ,HIRA & JSA based on the work methodologies of contractors, work locations, associated risks etc. Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to make sure they meet safety requirements.

5.Support, advise and assist the client on safety procedures and protocols as & when required/ requested. Assist Project Head to conduct periodical HSE coordination meetings with Client team / Contractors / Partners / other governing body and raise important issues to management.

6. Joint inspections of tools, tackles along with the contractor before deployment of the same at site for work. Conduct training effectiveness inspection , Organise Mock drills at site

7. Conduct mock drills periodically to review the preparedness for emergency response , Gamba , Safety walk down etc. Report immediately and investigate all HSE events to a suitable level depending upon the severity or potential severity.

8.Should be able to anticipate/ identify main Risks and associated risk and provide proper mitigation to resolve same in timely manner.

9.Should be excellent communicator and able to coordinate with all project member to gather project data and should efficiently convert it not information and Reports. Manage team to fulfil the objective and delegate job etc.

10. Reporting :Preparation of monthly & Weekly Safety report ,dashboards, Near Miss trackers ,LTI , MOM’s ,Client instruction’s, Early warnings. Managing all communications as Single point of contact / as per communication protocol

11.Ensure safety inductions for all new entry and safety training when required. Periodic audits of labor camps & report to management. Conduct medical check-up of workers.

12.Ensure all preventive measures against loss of materials and production through fire, explosion, unsafe storage and unsafe transportation are complying.

13.Ensure adequate amenities are in place and in compliance with good workplace hygiene standard such as proper and enough ventilation, clean and protected drinking water, first AID, Ambulance facility, rest room, toilet, transportation of workers.

Qualifications

1.Education - B.E/B.Tech or M Tech (Civil),preferably with RICS /Cost management certification from reputed Institute.

2. 12-14 years of work experience with demonstrated career growth graph.

3. Sound Knowledge and experience of project quality management.

4.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills ,along with presentation skills and the capability to relate and communicate with people from a variety of diverse backgrounds at all levels of the industry.

5. Understanding of the total project HSE requirement at different phases, compliances ,code of practices ,standards.

Major Skill set required:

Technical Project Management: The knowledge ,skills and behaviour related to specific domains of project management. The technical aspects of performing one’s role.

Leadership : The knowledge ,skills and behaviour needed to guide ,motivate and direct a team, to help an organisation achieve its business goals.

Strategic and Business management : The knowledge of and expertise in the industry and organisation that enhances performance and better delivers business outcomes.
