Job Summary:

As a member of the Commercial & Investment Credit Risk team under Wholesale Credit Risk, you will be responsible for managing the counterparty credit exposures and relationships, i.e. ensuring that all credit-related activities for the Bank's clients are executed, approved, monitored and reported in a manner consistent with the Bank's internal policies and guidelines. You will have the opportunity to have frequent client contact, keeping in touch with industry and credit needs whilst building and maintaining an active network throughout the Commercial investment bank, Syndicated & Leveraged Finance, Markets and other lines of business to manage the Bank's credit exposure and assist those business units in cross selling the firm

Job responsibilities:

  • Preparing credit risk analysis reports of clients, including in-depth financial analysis, business analysis and industry analysis; and making recommendations on credit facilities and internal credit ratings
  • Proven understanding of various techniques and methods of credit analysis, accounting treatments, financial adjustments etc.
  • Developing strong working knowledge of allocated sectors and tracking sector/client developments on an on-going basis
  • Conducting ongoing monitoring of the portfolio, including preparing regular credit and portfolio reviews, timely and accurate update of credit lines, and tracking of excess and resolving exceptions
  • Tracking credits and updating Credit executives and Bankers on key changes/developments in their industries and clients
  • Maintaining open communication channels and strong working relationships with business front lines
  • Collaborate with teams globally to innovate new processes, approaches, models and products
  • Responsible for supporting local legal entity risk management requirements in line with local regulations

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience as a full-time or intern.
  • Excellent quantitative ability in analyzing and interpreting financial statements, draws well-thought out conclusions from analysis, and is well verse with credit concepts
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English due to the client coverage
  • Keen interest in financial markets, corporate finance and credit analysis
  • Close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience and understanding of various financial statements, including ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, and basic accounting standards.
  • Enjoys working proactively & independently as well as in a team environment, and meeting tight deadlines 
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power Point

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license holder
