Job Description

Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity this summer to join our team as a High School Project Engineer Intern! This role is designed for high schoolers to gain exposure specific to a Project Management position. Additionally, this role will gain insight into additional opportunities available in the construction industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the project team in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies.
  • Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
  • Develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety.
  • Jobsite experience will be limited to interns that are over the age of 18.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Interest in a career in the construction industry.
  • Able to commute to our Minneapolis office.
  • Working toward a high school diploma.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Show a high level of professionalism and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Self-motivated
  • Eager to work with a project team and learn about the construction industry
