The Vice President, Consumer & Customer Insights is the lead partner against all Campbell Snacks Business units and categories providing insights into the consumer, competition, and marketplace. This individual is responsible for understanding Campbell Snacks business strategies, consumer & customer needs & insights, and then working with their team to develop in-depth strategies & marketing analysis/research that will provide actionable understanding and direction. Additional responsibilities include working with their team and key external partners to identify and using multi-disciplinary approaches, new emerging methods/technologies, immersive approaches to understand how new and prospective consumers engage with the all categories and to architect the strategies and programs for the brand.

Principal Accountabilities include:

  • Lead consumer insights group to create holistic consumer insights and in-market plans.
  • Define and produce deliverables that identify opportunities to shape consumer experiences and that inform and inspire internal stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Partner with BU leaders to drive consumer insights into deliverable actions -- on base brands and within innovation space
  • Large team leader; comfortable leading across Insights and brand. Strong developer of talent 
  • Strong understanding of overall Snacks, category and brand strategies -- and drive insights into action to continue to create profitable growth
  • Synthesize and integrate consumer/marketplace insights from vast current knowledge estate to inform on current issues and opportunities/challenges; provide strong direction on category and brand strategies to BU leaders
  • Design and implement consumer research and business analytics to inform or guide key business issues/plans related to base products and/or innovation, marketing activation and retail execution in partnership with other CCID colleagues and cross-functional business partners.
  • Lead the identification of emerging trends and long-term foresight into the consumer attitudes, behavior and marketplace that represent business disruptions and potential opportunities.
  • Enables fact-based decision-making through design and analysis of studies to address key business needs resulting in actionable business insights and recommendations. This individual understands business trends, design of syndicated and custom research, and integration of multiple sources of information to address these needs.
  • Large team leader -- strong leadership capability; lead insights team and strong partner to BU leaders. 

This position is an important liaison and leader across the Snacking Innovation team, Consumer and Customer Insights Department and multiple client groups within Marketing, Sales, R&D and Senior Management and is a key contributor to driving business results.

Qualifications:

  • A Minimum of 15 years of experience in applied research or a senior consumer insights role; the ideal candidate will have significant (10+ years) experience in uncovering deep insights into consumer’s attitudes and behaviors through both qualitative immersive practices and new analytic methods to inform business strategies. 
  • Experience leading large insight & strategy team in a leadership role on a major business.
  • Substantial experience uncovering insights that shape consumer marketing or experience design.
  • Experience linking quantitative and qualitative findings and generating actionable syntheses.
  • Ability to prioritize issues and resources and collaborate with stakeholder partners.
  • A good understanding of emerging trends in consumer insights, ecommerce, digital marketing.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Dynamic leadership capability; Manage, evaluate, coach and develop professional staff.
  • Comfort with fast-moving deliverables and timelines
  • Proven ability to navigate through ambiguity and significant org change
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong collaboration skills to partner with global, regional, and functional leaders.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$175,900-$293,000

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
