Medical Representative Vision Care - Bucharest

As a Medical Representative Vision Care - Bucharest you will promote and develop Vision Care portfolio to designated professionals in assigned territory - region of Bucharest and surrounding counties- to achieve or exceed the objectives defined through sales and marketing strategies. Guarantee an excellent communication process between the Company and the Customers, assuring that their needs are met, in a fast, compliant, and competitive way.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Business Development Manager – is responsible for reaching annual target with integrity, keeps constant touch on market evolution, manages Vision Care accounts for all business related aspects (sales, negotiation development, relation with owner and managers of optic stores, assigned clinics, pharmacies - define solutions for customer needs), promotes Vision Care products, organize trainings, educational programs and product presentations for all category of customers - optometrists, ophthalmologists, pharmacists, optical consultants, prospect the market for new accounts and identifies growth opportunities.
  • Territory and call management - maintain a complete customer's database, analyze customers data, cover, and visit all customers in the area of responsibility according to their importance and potential. Number of calls per day, frequency of visits for each customer and coverage percentages for all categories of customers is decided and communicated at the beginning of each financial year by National Sales Manager. This takes in consideration the connection with the marketing strategy and product mix. Establishes and presents action plans to achieve sales target, achieve visiting target according to plan, plan and track agreed account metrics and clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to Vision Care Management.
  • Control of product distribution - visits Vision Care accounts to ensure availability of Alcon Vision Care products, works closely together and maintain a strong and positive relation with distributors, reports regularly on distributor’s activities and practices.
  • Knowledge development - develops self-knowledge attending all company provided educational programs, acquires excellent knowledge of company products, marketing strategies, plans, campaigns, and tools as well as competitor products, keeps permanently up to date about new materials provided by company and other external references.
  • Public relations - develop excellent and fruitful relation with customers and opinion leaders, participates, develops, and conducts different meetings and events (congresses, round tables, trainings for customers), participates upon request of Sales Manager to business events (congresses, round tables, training programs, business dinners).
  • Administrative efficiency and respect of rules - delivers all required reports, business requests, correspondence, and other paperwork, respect all company applicable policies, procedures, work instructions, sets the priorities and implements on time, uses, and takes care of company property, controls and reports expenses.
  • Complies with Alcon’s Post marketing Surveillance.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

Education: University degree – preferred – graduate in natural science (optometry, medicine, biotechnology, and physics).

Work experience: 3 years in account management, 2 years in health care industry – preferred medical device field.

Competencies profile:

English – advanced.

Excel and Word – advanced.

Technical skills - Selling skills, Ability to convince and negotiate.

Teaching skills Managerial skills: Planning, Strong analytical skills, and problem solver (Decision Making • Project Management • Account Management).
