The Creative Design Services Manager directs the branding, ideation, execution, and production of all graphic & motion design for all assets needed by the company for campaigns, collateral, videos, photography, prototypes, websites, and events. In addition to interfacing effectively with leadership, the marketing team and the creative team members, the Creative Design Services Manager must have excellent organizational abilities, be comfortable working in a deadline-driven time-sensitive work environment, be capable of managing multiple projects, and can provide guidance and mentorship to the creative services team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Leads the creation of brand campaigns and tactics, ensuring quality of final work products
  • Mentors creative team members to ensure their work is consistently high quality by providing feedback and guidance
  • Manages workflow, priorities, and multiple projects at once
  • Responsible for managing maintenance on M’s website and other HTML/CSS-based multimedia experiences.
  • Thinks strategically to relate design work to M Financial’s business needs
  • Negotiates and influences others to understand and accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
  • Leads project meetings and discussions relating to appropriate brand application, tactics, resources, and creative vision
  • Identify potential roadblocks related to resources and timelines and escalate potential issues when necessary
  • Develop project plans and processes, and work with the Director, Marketing Operations to determine necessary resources
  • Successfully negotiates project deadlines to create timelines, determines project scope to define resource estimates, and schedule changes for stakeholder approval
  • Presents design deliverables to management and executive leadership for feedback as necessary
  • Be a brand ambassador with Member Firms and internal M Stakeholders
  • Stay up to date with digital industry trends and developments, and apply to team’s work when strategically appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Graphic Design, User Experience, and/or related discipline, or relevant work experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in Creative Services, ideally with a mix of in-house and agency experience
  • Portfolio: A strong design portfolio across media with a variety of current, leading edge design work.
  • Experience designing for the financial services industry a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential
  • Excellent technical knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and HTML/CSS. Experience with Webflow a plus.
  • Working knowledge in MS Office tools – especially PowerPoint and Word, familiarity with SharePoint a nice to have. 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Base Salary Range: $90,050 - $128,750

Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.

You will also be eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus.

JOB CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT 

  • Hybrid work environment in Portland, OR offering a blend of virtual/work from home and onsite days designed to support flexibility
  • Normal office environment/desk assignment
  • Extensive use of PC’s, computer terminal, display, keyboard, and mouse
  • Extensive hands-on work with documents, spreadsheets, and other written documents.
  • May be asked/required to travel to work at an event site or another location as part of a project team providing design, conceptualization, and solutions pertaining to deliverables
  • Must be flexible with shifts supporting Western Hemisphere events.
