Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cyber Security Engineer/Architect to join our team in the Herndon, VA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead special projects or investigation into specific technology or solution issues and to shepherd research and piloting of new capabilities with project engineers and/or partner organization as required
  • Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, and network connectivity, other system interfaces, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs
  • Provide complete assessments of the technical characteristics of proposals and alternatives considered
  • Monitor industry trends and directions; develop and presents substantive technical recommendation to senior management
  • Review and assess impact of proposed scope changes to future architecture
  • Provide creative and innovative architectural solutions to ill-defined requirements
  • Support the development and maintenance of data models, data dictionaries, data maps and other architecture artifacts across the enterprise
  • Work with senior business and technical personnel to deliver a robust scalable architecture that meets the business goals of the enterprise
  • Performs a critical role by defining the operational and technical strategy used by the Sponsor to protect systems and data
  • Assist the Sponsor in finding new technology and developing it into an implementable capability for Cyber Defense. Once the capability is developed enough for implementation, the incumbent will work with the stakeholder organizations to pilot and transition to a production capability. The personnel will partner closely with mission partners to develop an understanding of mission needs, gaps analyses, and align new capabilities to those mission needs.
  • Will research new disruptive technology and its impact on the Cyber Security Industry as well as its impact to the Sponsor and Mission Partners. The officer will be responsible for helping advance cyber security tradecraft to ensure consistent decision making across the organization. The officer will partner closely with Information System Security Managers (ISSMs) and Sponsor leadership to document and publish tradecraft exemplars, cyber tips, talking points, standard operating procedures, and official guidance. The officer will ensure Sponsor leadership is aware of ongoing or anticipated strategic challenges, develop recommendations on a path forward, and pre-brief Sponsor leadership in advance of key decisional forums.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of (10) ten years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree. A bachelor's degree can substitute (4) four years of experience
  • Related certifications

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must hold a TS/SCI clearance
  • Must hold a polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
