About The Role & Team

Embark on an exciting journey with Amplitude as a Sr. Director, Finance & Strategy! We are actively seeking an individual with a passion for data and analytics. Collaborating closely with our GTM leaders, including our CRO, CMO, and SVP of Strategy & Operations, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our GTM strategy and guiding our investments.

As a Sr. Director, Finance & Strategy, you will:

Strategic Synergy:

  • Be the go-to person for our GTM Leadership Team, translating visionary ambitions into actionable, financially sound strategies.

Finance with Foresight:

  • Go beyond traditional accounting. Steer our budgets and forecasts as though you're actively shaping the future.

  • If it's not driving growth or value, why measure it? Be the compass guiding us toward impactful outcomes.

Guard and Guide the Capital:

  • Every dime has a purpose. Ensure our capital allocation not only aligns with our intent but propels our collective vision.

You'll be a great addition to the team if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced finance degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in strategic finance, financial planning & analysis, or related roles, preferably within SaaS or technology companies.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with GTM teams, showcasing your ability to collaborate effectively with our dynamic GTM team.
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and forecasting skills, coupled with proficiency in SaaS metrics, financial systems, and tools.
  • Outstanding communication skills with an ability to convey complex financial concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Leadership skills with a track record of building and leading successful teams.

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $270,000 - $405,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus)
