Program participants will join the J.P. Morgan team in Colombia and will receive several trainings & coaching to develop professional skills while experiencing our inclusive culture led by our principles: Service, Hearth, Curiosity, Courage and Excellence. 

The practice will be performed in the treasury area (Trading Desk), where the intern is sought to be the right hand of the traders of the table in all issues of risk control and monitoring. The position will give the intern the opportunity to learn about different financial products and therefore enrich the knowledge on topics such as FX, Bonds and derivatives. 

As many subjects are tangentially touched during the university, it is important to have an open attitude, to receive information constantly so that it can be applied day by day in the assigned tasks.

  • Assist senior traders in managing risk, liquidity and neutralizing exposure.
  • Pricing of products such as FX Spot/NDFs/DFs, Local Bonds, Bond and FX Futures, Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, Credit Linked Notes, Bond and FX options, among others.
  • Support the team by providing daily market facts prepared with updates inclusive of economic research views used in the morning meetings to discuss daily strategy.
  • Develop trade ideas based on statistical models that help to build optimal trading strategies.
  • Responsible for accurate risk and P&L daily reporting for the trading desk. Construct daily Reports of P&L & Risk.
  • Trade Capture and Trade Reconciliation.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics locally and offshore, as well as deep knowledge of different asset classes and their correlations.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Responsible to generate the daily information to the front office (regulatory limits reports)
  2. Responsible to generate the weekly, biweekly, monthly and quarterly reports to be submitted to Regulator to be check by other person in the area.
  3. Maintain current manuals related to the local regulatory reports (changes, process, etc).
  4. Collaborates with LEC team to generate reconciliations of the items of the financial statements.
  5. Include rates and counterparties in the system daily.
  6. Collaborate with LEC team in any other task assigned.

In this opportunity we looking for:

  1. Student of Business Administration / Industrial Engineering Economics / Mathematics / Finance
  2. Advanced English level
  3. Knowledge of financial accounting.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively.
  6. Knowledge in regulatory report is a plus.
