Overview

FleishmanHillard Los Angeles is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time paid six-month intern position. Interns are an integral part of our team, giving participants real-life experience and skills that will help them succeed in their communications careers in the future. Interns will assist our consumer lifestyle, healthcare, and technology client teams with their public relations and communications activities. This is a hybrid role that will require three in-office days per week.

Qualifications

  • Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, Pacific Time hours, for a minimum of six months starting in Summer 2024. The ability to work in-person at least three days per week.
  • Ideal candidates will have graduated and completed college coursework in journalism, public relations, communications, or related fields.
  • Fundamental writing, research, communications, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Open interest in working with clients across the consumer lifestyle, technology, and healthcare spaces.
  • Prior internship experience at a public relations firm or corporate communications is a plus; Prior internship or school-related experience where the role involved writing, content creation, social media, etc.
  • Ability to work easily in both large team environments and independently.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn from our industry-leading team of counselors.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $17.20-$22.00 per hour. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography.
