PRODLY | Chief Technical Officer

Prodly solves the time-consuming process that Salesforce administrators, architects and consultants face. 

Prodly AppOps, the company’s flagship product for reference data management (RDM), is designed by Salesforce experts for Salesforce end-users and system integration (SI) partners to enable four-click deployment of relational data between Salesforce orgs. 

Position Overview:

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Prodly, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technological vision, driving engineering excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of our products. You will lead a talented team of engineers, foster a culture of innovation, and oversee the development and optimization of our engineering processes. Your ability to manage teams, develop engineering talent, prioritize tasks, engage with the product team, and possess knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem will be critical to our company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management and Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Define team goals, set clear expectations, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Develop strategies for talent acquisition and retention to ensure a strong and motivated engineering workforce.

Engineering Talent Development

  • Create a learning and development roadmap for engineering staff, identifying skills gaps and providing training opportunities.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team to enhance technical capabilities.
  • Implement career development plans and promote a growth mindset among engineers.

Engineering Process Building

  • Design and implement robust engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices to optimize productivity and quality.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the software development lifecycle, ensuring efficiency and agility.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels between engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams.

Task and Time Management

  • Prioritize and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and deliverables.
  • Implement project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) to ensure efficient task execution and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or challenges promptly.

Product Involvement

  • Collaborate closely with the product team to align technical development with product roadmaps and business goals.
  • Translate product requirements into technical strategies and ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions.
  • Act as a technical evangelist, promoting a deep understanding of our products within the engineering team.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience in team management and leadership, with a track record of building and nurturing high-performance engineering teams.
  • Strong expertise in software development methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in developing engineering talent and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Deep understanding of product development processes and the ability to bridge the gap between technology and business objectives.
  • Knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem, including Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Platform, and related technologies, is a strong plus.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
