The ID Document Technical Project Manager is responsible for the industrialization phases of the customer projects of our Citizen identification business area, in collaboration with the local operation & Program Manager teams.

The successful candidate is also in charge of supporting Pre-Sales & Bid teams on the technical part during Pre-Sales and/or tender submission phases.

On top of above activities, the ID Document Technical Project Manager may also be responsible for sustaining activities, collaboration with Operations (For example, by optimizing manufacturing cost), within the HID cross-site and functional groups or with external partners.

There is also responsibility for developing and industrializing new products or feature in collaboration with Operations and engineering innovation team.

As our ID Document Technical Project Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • As part of the Customer Program Core teams, you are the technical point of contact for ID Documents, and therefore you act to support the supply chain, product innovation, QA, Program Manager and local operation teams by:
  • Establishing the technical specifications associated to those kind of products.
  • Managing the project tasks, planning, related the ID document technical topics in coordination with other departments.
  • Acting as technical support for all quality/technical issues that could happen during the program at Internal or External manufacturing sites.
  • Organizing and supporting the knowhow transfer to our CID ID document manufacturer or qualified contract manufacturer.
  • Supporting the management of prototypes/sample requests at HID Sites and qualified contract manufacturer.
  • Support Pre-Sales/Bid team during Pre-Sales stage and/or Tender submission process by providing:
  • Estimated Manufacturing cost.
  • Management Customer/tenders submission samples.
  • Define and re-align product design when necessary.
  • Technical support/training to customer when required.
  • Supervise & Coordinate the mfg.process development & improvement during industrialization phases of new Product platform with HID Operation & innovation teams by:
  • Ownership of the project from specifications analysis to industrialization (implementation of new process, new machine, new materials), support Operations during Ramp-up, and Return on Experience
  • Discovering, promoting External partners when necessary
  • Establishing the technical specifications, budget, planning, feasibility study, proof of concept, Qualification of product and process
  • Performing the Risks’ assessment: IP, technical risks, planning constraint.
  • Standardization of current products and processes across HID sites through evaluation and analysis

What we will love about your background: 

  • Must be able to perform mathematical calculations consistent with Engineering background.
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and summarize into simple words.
  • Must be able to plan (budget, lead-time), organize & lead projects in a reliable and efficient way.
  • Must have the ability to deal with all key stakeholders (internal and external) in an international and multi-cultural environment.
  • Must have the ability to prepare & make internal presentations.
  • Must be a creative force and think outside the box.

Your Experience and Education include: 

  • Must have a Master of Science in Materials Science, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years in an Industrial environment, either in a production environment (lean, implementation of tools, Continuous Improvement) or in Design Office (R&D Lab, Modelling).
  • Must have an international experience.
  • Must have Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with other teams and departments.
  • Preferred if basic knowledge of electronics manufacturing/assembly processes and/ or Material components manufacturing.
  • Preferred if technical knowledge and experience in mass production in complex industrial environment.
