About the Job: As a Director, Live Event Marketing, you'll lead the partnership strategy for Fortune’s Live Event portfolio (50+ live & virtual events annually.) This fast-paced role requires a proactive, results-driven, creative and strategic mind to support our commercial sales team. You will identify insights, share inspiring ideas and author marketing collateral that helps to drive sponsor revenue for our event business. What you will do:

  • Create strategic, visually compelling go-to-market narratives and collateral for Fortune Events
  • Create post event reports for various events, including detailed client specific follow up
  • Collaborate with the team on ideation of new revenue focused Fortune events and communities
  • Work in partnership and seamlessly across all relevant areas of the organization (editorial, consumer marketing, programming, social, production and audience teams) to develop event proposals and campaigns that deliver on partners strategic communication objectives
  • Utilize research and events data to articulate and support value propositions for event materials, and prove ROI for client-specific proposals and recaps
  • Implement efficient and streamlined marketing processes across a growing international sales and events team
  • Serve as Events liaison for the larger sales and marketing organization, representing event opportunities on internal brainstorms, RFP responses and client meetings

What you will need:

  • You have 10+ years of proven leadership experience working in in a media organization or agency, with extensive knowledge of live/virtual media and conference marketing and an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of sponsorships within these channels.
  • You are a best-in-class communicator/storyteller with expertise in B2B and B2C event marketing. You are known internally and externally for your strategic and well-written sales materials and pitch decks (highly skilled in pitch writing within .ppt and design platforms.)
  • You are equal parts creative and analytical – you can translate ideas into impactful and marketable sponsorship opportunities.

Base Salary - $135,000.00 + bonus
