Job Description

The Senior Cloud Architect is an individual contributor role responsible for the design, architecture, engineering, and standardization of all cloud infrastructure environments including storage, computer, networking, virtualization, automation systems, and all associated hardware and software solutions. The Senior Cloud Architect is also responsible for setting the strategic direction of cloud services spanning infrastructure, platform, and software as a service; ensuring standard designs and implementation processes are followed consistently throughout the organization. The goal at MasterBrand is to digitally transform core business capabilities; shedding outdated on-premises platforms for newer generation cloud services and to adopt a “cloud-first” approach to existing and emerging capabilities of the business. 

This is a remote-based position. Selected candidate must be able to conduct business during the Eastern or Central time zones. Preferred locations are in the Cleveland, OH / Deerfield, IL / or Jasper, IN areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop standards and processes for the design, standardization, engineering, implementation, and maximization of cloud services used across MasterBrand.
  • Partner closely with cloud partners to understand changing technologies, designs, and landscapes to roadmap changes and ensure proper fit with company objectives and technology dependencies.
  • Form strong partnerships with MasterBrand digital technology and business peers to understand requirements and, problems to solve, and to align with overall business strategies.
  • Ensure that security and risk management is embedded in all cloud service designs, engineering solutions, and implementations to ensure adequate protection of digital assets and data used to operate MasterBrand’s business. 
  • Consistently seek opportunities to scale cloud solutions to maximize effectiveness and efficiency both from a performance and cost perspective.
  • Operate as a subject matter expert, designer, engineer, implementer, and consultant to any initiatives related to cloud services used across the enterprise.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with a professional demeanor to all levels of the organization 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS or Computer Science preferred, or relevant concentration, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience; or a minimum (7) seven years relevant and equivalent business or IT experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Azure service management including integration, identity, security, storage, virtualization, compute, messaging, and networking within the Azure platform.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of traditional compute, application, identity, and network experience (e.g., traditional data center, recommend and implement security hardening technical controls)
  • Preferably have one or more of the following certifications: CISSP, Azure AZ-104, AZ-500, or above,
  • Strong understanding of security concepts including SIEM, EDR, Network, Cloud, and Data security technologies.
  • Experience in leading technical aspects of project work, integrating between IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, and consulting adjacent teams on best approaches to cloud adoption.
  • Experience in migrating from traditional on-premise technologies to cloud platforms is required. 
  • Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.
