Associate Director, Business Development, Emerging Biopharma – Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s Central Labs – Remote Position, Europe.

Q² Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business, applies the latest expertise in laboratory services, biomarkers, companion diagnostics, esoteric testing, high quality data and analytics, logistics, and biospecimen and consent lifecycle management to meet the needs of each trial.

We incorporate the best new technologies, personalized medicine principles and the use of biomarkers in clinical trials in order to delivers scientific, technological, and operational support consistently across multiple sites and countries.

We are looking for a key contributor with a strong track record of supporting Biopharma companies, providing customized Phase I through III services globally, and offering expertise across multiple therapeutic areas, 

Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual annual sales target based on selling to Biopharma clients across the offering suite.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all Q2 Solutions and IQVIA services for appropriate cross-sell opportunities.
  • Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities within specified potential new and/or existing Customers/Accounts.
  • Establish and execute a comprehensive sales plan for each target account.
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within Account and develop deep knowledge of the customer organization.
  • Actively network in the industry to establish relationships and to identify potential opportunities.
  • Aggressively pursue awareness of competitive activities, positioning, and pricing, which includes specific reasons for awards and non-awards.
  • Continuously monitor status of leads and opportunities to ensure a pipeline of opportunities is maintained.
  • Work with operations and functional managers to identify sales team and prepares and leads the sales presentation. Educate team participants in customer culture, operational needs/methods and sales techniques needed to close the sale.
  • Coordinate with contracts and proposals to develop proposal.
  • Handle follow-up related to the sale and drive completion of contractual documents.
  • Utilize CRM to establish reports and dashboards to analyze business development and sales activities and track progress.
  • Maintain high visibility within customer organization.
  • Communicate all account activity to Senior Sales Leader and/or appropriate individuals through the CRM system.

Requirements

  • 10 years of related experience in a CRO, pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a BD in a CRO environment, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Understanding of the clinical process (PH I – IV)
  • Central lab experience would be an advantage.
