Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity in Indianapolis, IN for a Factory Controls Intern. This is a full-time position throughout Summer of 2024.

Summary:

The Factory Controls Engineering Intern will gain exposure and experience in the development and implementation of optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods, in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.

This person recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. This includes responsibility for the design and/or testing of tooling and equipment and/or planning the manufacturing processes in a designated area of the manufacturing plant. 

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of manufacturing systems with the focus on continuous improvement related to quality and throughput capability of production equipment. 

Work is of a technical nature where decisions are made within general practices and procedures, where supervision is available.

Assist in the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes. 

Study product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment. 

Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

Education Requirement: College undergraduate or graduate status with 1-3 years at an accredited college or university, pursuing an academic field of study related to Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or other technological fields of study.

Required Experience:

Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

Analytical ability to solve complex problems.

Due to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Intern must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident.
