About the opportunity:

In this role, you will help in turning Media.Monks’ innovative and disruptive approach to Media into a market presence that grabs the attention of brand marketers. Working alongside our Media and Global Marketing leadership, you will help develop a market narrative and activation arc that positions us as the media partner that brands need to win, now. You’ll drive our culture around Pride of Work, transforming client success stories and the insights that created them into compelling case studies, thought leadership, speaking submissions, and awards entries - inspiring prospects and future colleagues alike with a style and substance that will shape the trends of our industry.

We’re looking for an expert storyteller who understands Media, with a track record of high-profile placements on stage and in trade media. If you're someone who thrives in a dynamic Media agency setting and has a knack for attention to detail and public relations strategy, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and support our narrative roadmap and marketing calendar specifically for our Media Division, ensuring synchronization between case study creation, PR strategies, events, and content publishing in coordination with Global Marketing.
  • Collaborate with our account teams to identify and extract compelling success stories and market insights from client campaigns, creating a culture of storytelling through our work.
  • Develop an ecosystem of marketing materials and an engine to produce them, in order to facilitate sales enablement. This could include case studies, pitch decks, articles, industry POVs, award submissions, and thought leadership content.
  • Help to define the public relations strategy for our Media Division, focusing on positioning our case studies, industry POVs, and other unique contributions in a way that sets us apart from the competition.
  • Produce and publish well-researched industry perspectives that elevate our thought leadership and POVs in the media advertising landscape.
  • Showcase our success stories, insights, and industry POVs by building submissions to leading industry events and award bodies.
  • Maintain a robust understanding of the market landscape to strategically plan and advise on our thought leadership, particularly in the development of industry perspectives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years work in a media agency marketing role with a demonstrated track record of success creating thought leadership that achieves placement at premium events and in prominent trade media
  • History of achievement against specifically defined content production goals
  • Superior writing and messaging skills with an emphasis clear, concise, and compelling strategy and go-to-market positioning (with samples)
  • Agility to produce across forms of required business content, including case writing, research, trend reports, presentations, and sales collateral
  • Direct and ongoing work with executive stakeholders, including routine review meetings
  • Proven ability to establish trust with key personnel at external clients and partners, and coordinate their participation in content projects, thought leadership, speaking engagements, and more collaborative work
  • Ability to initiate and project manage several simultaneous projects
  • Able to create, inspire and deliver a vision; able to establish leadership presence
  • Strong understanding of Demand Generation programs and KPIs with an analytical approach to building and evaluating content programs
  • Ideal candidates will also have direct experience with one or more of:
  • Website analytics
  • Salesforce CRM and product ecosystem
  • Marketing automation software
  • Email marketing
  • LinkedIn social media marketing

SF/NYC/LA Salary Range: $120K-$150K
