We are currently recruiting a Senior BIM Model Coordination Manager - Rail to support the execution of a large portfolio of local and international railway projects. A super user in relevant civil infrastructure CAD and modelling software such as those provided by Autodesk and Bentley or similar, who can draw/model without supervision having the ability to create advanced content within the railways design discipline. They will be required to ensure that from a technology perspective, our rail project objectives and BIM uses are achieved and that models are integrated and coordinated. 

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Work independently with minimal to moderate level of guidance.
  • Provide regular updates to manager on project status.
  • May assist more junior staff members with aspects of their job.
  • Will coordinate activities of a small team.
  • Responsible for quality control of tasks or segments of project output.
  • Analyses and apply solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise within a sub-group or team within their function, business unit or technical discipline, using standard operating procedures/methodologies as a basis, and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments.
  • Specialist in analytical, technical or operational skills, where and specialized expertise was typically developed through a combination of job-related training and on-the-job experience.
  • Continues to grow knowledge of organization, customers, and processes.
  • Accompanied by a senior, where appropriate, will participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, explain / defend work, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction.
  • Minimum 5 years 3D modelling experience with experience in model coordination, including more experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • An advanced user of relevant civil infrastructure CAD drawing and modelling software such as those provided by Autodesk and Bentley in an architectural or engineering environment.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Engineering /Design
  • Mandatory BIM certification
