Job Description and Requirements
Application Engineer (AE) is expected to support the sale and adoption of Synopsys products to help customers achieve tangible and lasting performance improvements in the cost, quality, and development time for projects.
AEs support Synopsys products including synthesis, STA, DFT, formal verification, low power solutions and physical design (P&R) solutions. In addition, they are expected to articulate design methodologies involving Synopsys tools and be elevator-talk proficient in the full Synopsys tool portfolio.
Their sales support roles include product demonstrations, evaluations, competitive benchmarking and account planning; Customer support roles include training, problem resolution, service delivery and technical account management.
AEs leverage their knowledge by writing SolvNet Articles, and by assisting other AEs. They also provide technical feedback to Synopsys product development teams pertaining to critical issues and recommended enhancements. Business travel will be required for this position.
