FIRE Commercial Senior Finance Manager Finance, Europe

This role will support the Fire business and will provide leadership and analysis support to the Europe leadership teams and the CFO Europe to create increased visibility into operational strategy and performance with the goal of driving performance, execution speed and cost efficiency. 

The role’s main responsibilities are leading the commercial finance activities in Business Partnering with the EUR functional leaders & influencing all activities to achieve its financial objectives for the Region. The role will actively partner with the ISC FP&A team as well as business FP&A teams. This role will lead a team of global site finance leaders and FP&A support as well as provide work direction to the finance team in the GFC in India. 

Additionally, this role will encourage a continuous drive on productivity and necessary return on investments, while ensuring strong controllership and compliance to Company’s policies and tax model

This role reports to the Fire Europe CFO.

You will also develop/maintain standard reporting and MOS focused on productivity / spend performance and working capital (inventory / payables) and other required functional support to the ISC leadership teams, and all leadership touch points throughout the month. Planning and estimating will also be a key support area involving establishing the standard calendars, development of the necessary tools as well as coordination between the business and ISC teams on target alignment.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Drive financial performance in the GBE portfolio

  • Support the business to achieve overall operating income performance with strong bias on Demand Growth 
  • Lead efforts across the sites for robust productivity pipelines, cost containment actions, and driving accountability to targeted commitments
  • Support the identification of recovery / mitigation plans to improve performance
  • Drive working capital improvement across the sites via robust project pipelines and execution of key activities to optimize every working capital element

2. Provide key support and transparency to the Business & ISC leadership team

  • Provide key reports and analysis to the Global GBE leadership, FP&A and ISC Finance Leaders on current performance metrics, future forecasts and associated risks and opportunities
  • Assess opportunities for portfolio/site rationalization where it makes sense and present this information to leadership
  • Provide leadership for investment decision making via financial validation and cost benefit analysis
  • Leadership for the STRAP, AOP, SRO and forecasting processes
  • Lead and support ad-hoc projects as required

3. Ensure Compliance to Tax Model

  • Oversee compliance to existing Tax model, seek for optimization opportunities
  • Supervise Business Controllership activities for Principal (CH entity) and affiliates
  • Ensure strong controls are in place and drive remediation actions as & when required
  • Partner with local controllership, internal controls and other finance specialists on ad hoc basis

4. Build a Strong & Diverse Finance team

  • Ensure financial leaders are exercising strong leadership for their sites and providing the necessary support to drive performance
  • Drive COO mentality for the team and provide coaching and direction where required
  • Building a strong pipeline of talent to ensure smooth succession planning and hand off

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

US GAAP experience

Compliance/ Tax acumen

English proficiency

10+ years of accounting/finance experience with increasing responsibility
