Position Information

The World Languages program of the Division of World Languages and Cultural Studies invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to begin August 2023. Responsibilities include in-person classroom teaching in Spanish at the undergraduate level for one to two class sections per semester. Applicants who are not able to teach on campus in the classroom need not apply.

Minimum requirements include:

  • A Master's degree in Spanish, Spanish literature, Spanish linguistics, or a related field from an accredited institution, OR 18 graduate hours in a related field.
  • Native or near-native fluency in English and Spanish.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience teaching at the college or university level.

Applicants must have effective oral and written communication skills.

Preference will be given to applicants who can provide evidence of effectively teaching on-campus via student evaluations and other methods.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, and statement of teaching philosophy. Applicants may also submit representative teaching evaluations. Applicants should apply online.
