Role Overview 

The Copywriter II is responsible for creating messaging and maintaining the brand voice for the Kasasa Marketing teams. This position will work closely with Marketing, Design, and other internal teams, to build and maintain badass creative assets for our B2B and/or B2C campaigns. 

A Copywriter II is expected to have 4+ years of experience writing copy for many different mediums — print as well as digital, social, and web-related. The goal is to increase traffic and business to support marketing objectives. You should also be able to expertly proofread and edit work — and incorporate feedback from stakeholder and other outside sources. 

This position requires collaboration between various internal teams and potentially external clients; idea sharing, process development and interdependence is key. This position is the right fit for someone who needs minimal to no handholding and loves to take ownership of their role. 

Responsibilities 

  • Infuses the Patch Values into your work ethic, every day and every interaction 
  • Collaborate with other copywriters, designers, and various teams for overall performance of deliverables 
  • Write best-in-class copy across multiple deliverables 
  • Assist with ongoing client changes and requests as needed 
  • Deliver editorial perfection while managing multiple projects, against often-aggressive deadlines. 
  • Participate in concepting and assist in pitching content ideas for new collateral or content 
  • Learn and maintain brand guidelines resources to ensure cohesive messaging across the organization 
  • Proofread and QA content to maintain grammar, voice, and compliance requirements 
  • Stay current on industry news and best practices for use in marketing materials 
  • Strive to become a creative subject matter expert that others come to for answers and best practices 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in English, advertising, or journalism, or equivalent years of professional experience 4+ years of web/marketing copywriting. 
  2. Ability to learn industry terms and concepts quickly, then pull out value to prospects and clients 
  3. Experience and/or familiarity with financial marketing and concepts a major plus 
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of messaging hierarchy, web design strategy, and UX/UI concepts 
  5. Excellent project management skills 
  6. Obvious word nerd and grammar geek 
  7. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred 
  8. Impressive portfolio 
  9. Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S. without restriction 
  10. You will be asked to participate in culture related meetings, activities, and events. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Sitting for extended periods of time; approximately 5-6 hours per day 
  • Simultaneous use of hand, wrist and fingers 
  • Daily operation of standard office equipment 
  • Frequent use of oral communication to perform work 
  • Lifts and moves up to 20 pounds occasionally
