About the Role:

A Lead Advisor has mastered handling all basic and complex customer inquiries concerning exemptions and membership application queries via email and calls. They are responsible for channels with increased complexity and must have good observation and attentiveness to deal with a varied range of Exemptions and Membership queries and processing.

The Lead advisor will assess and process qualification documentation and award exemptions for students, quality check and process member application submissions via paper, online and Face-to-face; manage CIMA membership assessors and process weekly membership election and certificate reports.

The lead advisor will also demonstrate all the Associations behaviours and ensure that these behaviours are visible to their colleagues and wider teams, which demonstrates their leading by example.

You Will:

  • Provide outstanding levels of customer service.
  • Assess, make decisions on, and process all new student’s exemptions.
  • Advise internal/external customers of the reasons for an exemption decision when it has been challenged by the student.
  • Ensure communication to students who have submitted documents for review is responded to within the 10-day service level agreement.
  • Ensure students are correctly billed for their exemptions
  • Conduct exemptions process testing for system release.
  • Responsible for all membership application processing, including Paper, Online and Face-to-face applications.
  • Ensure CIMA new member targets are met by undertaking the membership/fellowship application process – incorporating postal, online and face-to-face activities and all three processes involved therein.
  • Provide information and advice for CIMA Staff concerning membership, Exemptions and for CIMA Membership assessors.
  • Help organise and run membership assessment sessions. This includes weekend working when required
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned including relevant projects or tasks as required – e.g., compiling handbooks for all partners
  • Help train new staff when required.

You Have:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in prior GEC Advisor role
  • Experience applying written and verbal skills while servicing customers
  • Experience mastering contact channels and exceeding productivity metrics
  • Collaborate and engage with colleagues in a positive manner. Bring energy and compassion to work.
  • Good grammar and proofreading
  • Excellent questioning abilities
  • Obtain high levels of detailed information, adapting the method of communication depending on the audience
  • Adhere to GEC attendance policy and all other appropriate policies.
  • Deliver a quick, efficient, and outstanding, memorable service experience
