Role’s purpose

The Business Development Manager will develop ICL Industrial Solutions (IS) unit pipeline of new products and applications in all relevant markets

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Identify new opportunities with potential contribution to the business
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer unmet needs
  • Assess market needs and build business plans to promote it
  • Build strong relationship with customers, competitors, vendors and industry professionals
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams for each selected business opportunity (Sales and Marketing, R&D, Operations, Logistics and Finance)
  • Establish and manage a process for generating, evaluating and filtering new ideas
  • Prepare and present a business case for investment approvals
  • Plan and promote M&A processes as required
  • Conduct and manage the business intelligence process
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Current projects – Energy storage, Bromoform, Bromine recovery

What are we looking for?

  • 5 years of experience in Business/Market Development in the industry
  • Previous marketing experience – significant advantage
  • Technical background in Chemistry or Engineering
  • MBA in Business Administration or Economics or another relevant field – Advantage
  • Track record of managing multiple projects in parallel
  • Leadership, able to set up teams and drive matrix teams to success
  • Experience in developing of Business plans for new products and markets
  • High-level communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills and a team player with the ability to lead a global team (including matrix managerial responsibility)
  • Excellent in relationship building & networking
  • Strong capability to lead strategy from ideation to execution
  • Very good market understanding while identifying significant trends
  • Analyze and implement product positioning strategies
  • Ability to think creatively and problem-solving attitude
  • Fluent in English
