This role is responsible for formulating Spotify’s strategy for its ‘right to play’ in the fandom space and to connect with communities across genres and interest groups - on app, on digital platforms, and on-ground. You will also support the execution of these programs by working closely with external partners and internal teams, both locally and internationally.

What you'll do

  • Expand Music Communities by identifying culture/trends in listeners.
  • Take the lead in building the organizational understanding of cultural trends, music genres and music consumption trends in the Indian market
  • Build cross-functional music programs of Spotify around these genres and trends
  • Lead the outreach and engagement with the community for these genres and interest groups
  • Quantify and analyse music fandom (artists, genres, languages etc.)
  • Develop insights into fan behavior, trends, etc. In the Indian market
  • Devise ways to leverage fandom to drive listenership growth - 'The Fandom led Growth Flywheel'
  • Leverage Spotify global fandom resources to Engage and grow fan communities
  • Build the partnerships' strategy for a deeper connect with the Indian music fans and music culture, through music events and other live spaces
  • Create and Build fandom monetisation opportunities: Listeners/ Subs and Brands
  • Build and implement initiatives to engage across artists, fans, and Spotify - leverage fandom to drive subs revenue in the India market
  • Work with sales teams to help advertisers engage deeper with music and fans.
  • Prepare proposals for customized creative solutions
  • Prepare business case (analytics, metrics etc.) for brands to associate with Spotify’s existing IPs/ properties and ensure implementation of these solutions. Prepare post-evaluation of these solutions
  • Create fandom monetisation opportunities: Brands
  • Work with sales teams to help advertisers engage deeper with music and fans.
  • Prepare proposals for customized creative solutions
  • Prepare business case (analytics, metrics etc) for brands to associate with Spotify’s existing IPs/ properties
  • Ensure implementation of these solutions; prepare post-eval

Who you are

  • Maximum of 10 years of experience in marketing, music and/ or other consumer facing roles
  • You have a successful track record of delivering user growth through building communities in India
  • You have experience in marketing, and have a deep understanding of digital and content marketing
  • Solid understanding of the Indian music ecosystem. You have great attention to detail and the ability to see the end game of each business opportunity
  • Strong analytics, presentation and communication capabilities
  • Experience working in a dynamic, ever-changing environment with a track record of results and a collaborative approach, working with all levels of management (externally and internally) and communicating cross-functionally in a structured and clear manner to influence outcomes
  • Strong propensity to take initiative and grow with change
