What to Expect

This Video Producer will be a key member of a growth team focusing on Tesla Energy B2B video content. This person will be responsible for both creative and logistical aspects of video projects covering Tesla’s Industrial Products: Megapack and Powerpack. They will oversee each video project from inception to completion, ensuring videos are completed on time and within budget while maintaining Tesla’s video standards and advancing the unique Tesla brand. 

This is a multi-faceted role where knowledge of clean energy technologies and working experience in the energy industry is highly desired. The ideal candidate is highly creative, organized with attention to detail, a great communicator and can turn challenges into growth opportunities. They should have a proven ability to lead and motivate teams with both direct and indirect reporting relationships. 

What You’ll Do

  • Create video concepts based on business needs and incorporating feedback from stakeholders 
  • Draft storyboards, shot lists, shoot schedules, and call sheets 
  • Plan and coordinate video shoots: finding and permitting locations, including roads for car-to-car shoots, coordinating with other departments to plan shoots at Tesla facilities, engaging with our residential and commercial energy customers for shoots at customer locations, and hiring and managing talent and/or external vendors
  • Lead the crew during shoots – setting the schedule and ensuring the content is being captured according to the vision
  • Coordinate with post-production team and communicate direction for how the content should be edited
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication within the team and among all parties involved
  • Be effective with time and budget. Be capable of tackling a one-day production, a one-week production and beyond, locally as well as out of state and internationally 

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years experience in a producer or production manager position at an agency, commercial production company, or in-house marketing communications or creative services department (experience in the energy industry highly desired)
  • Deep passion for changing the way we use energy on the electric grid
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment with a bias towards action
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with minimal resources
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally with both analytical and creative teams
  • Able to carry multiple projects in parallel
  • Proven experience leading teams to create successful advertising video content

Expected Compensation

$64,000 - $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
