The Summer Manufacturing Engineer Intern (Machine Shop) is responsible for supporting Manufacturing Engineers and plant leaders as they work to implement improvements within value streams of responsibility, in line with yearly targets in the areas of Safety, Internal and External Quality, On-Time Delivery / Lead Time reduction, and Productivity.

This position is part of the Aerospace Machine Shop department and will be located onsite (full-time) in New Port Richey, FL. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. US citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers to development and maintain fixtures / tooling as required to support production including proactive identification and resolution of safety hazards and ensuring proper root cause and permanent correction actions are in place for all near-misses and accidents (reactive management).
  • Timely and accurate development of documentation (Pictorial Work Instructions, Routers, NCMR write-ups, etc.).
  • Perform MRB root cause corrective actions and follow-up sustain activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School or GED degree, required. Completed sophomore year of college and in-process of obtaining a BS in an engineering related field of study.
  • Working knowledge of BOM, routings, manufacturing procedures, tooling/fixture design (AutoCAD, Key Creator, Catia, or similar) is highly preferred.
