1. Summary of Position: (Brief description of overall responsibilities and function)

Under the direction of the Vice President of Human Resources, provides world-class recruiting services to meet the talent needs of the organization in a timely and cost effective manner. Assures compliance with all employment-related laws in all policies, practices and actions.

Supervises recruitment staff to include leadership training, career development, performance management, management support, and overall recruiting agenda.

Develops & implements staffing strategies for full-time, part-time, temporary, contract labor and intern staff.

Develops effective hiring processes and relationships to have influence and impact on staffing process, including forming partnerships with external recruiting sources.

Develops and implements college relations initiative including internship and direct hire programs.

Manages the Career section of the company website and the staffing component of the HRIS to manage candidate communications and flow through hiring process.

6.

Aggressively and creatively sources, recruits, interviews, assesses and presents top 

quality potential professionals to managers for hiring consideration. Effectively 

utilize recruitment related marketing tools.

7.

Proactively seeks and develops a pipeline of qualified candidates.

8.

Markets the Employee Referral Program.

9.

Establishes & reports on metrics, including maintains current recruiting status of all 

open positions.

10.

Maintains and updates applicant tracking system for EEO/AAP/VETS, 

including preparation of program reporting requirements.

11.

Assists in the formulation of the company’s branding in the job marketplace.

Performs other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.

  1. Qualifications for Position: 

A. Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education & experience.

B. Experience

  • 7 or more years of direct recruiting experience in a corporate environment with high recruiting volume (preferably in the manufacturing industry & ideally within the aviation sector).
  • Recent successful experience in recruiting all discipline areas; as well as hiring non- exempt, exempt & management level positions.
  • Experience in college recruiting for direct hire & internship programs desirable.

  • Expertise related to recruiting/staffing best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state & local employment-related laws & regulations to 

ensure compliance in employment/labor, standard human resource practices & 

procedures

  • Working knowledge of non-Staffing HR functional areas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks & follow-through on projects
  • Strong organizational & time management skills
  • Work well collaboratively & in a team setting
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality 
  • Sound judgment
  • High degree of PC competence, including HRIS & Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to periodically travel

D. Licensure/Certification

  • PHR or SPHR is desirable.
