Overview:

The Marketing Manager, Specialty Verticals is responsible for developing and executing industry-specific go-to-market plans targeting key industries including healthcare, food processing, pharmaceuticals in the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Develop, present, and execute product specific go-to-market plans that include the market overview, competitor overview with positioning, value prop, differentiators and positioning, opportunity assessment with financial analysis of impact to business, and key action items to deliver on goals.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for industries and related products.
  • Defines the product strategy for industry-specific products and development road map including core positioning and product messaging.
  • Is a subject matter expert within vertical / product category and works closely with Merchandising, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Brand team, and Vendors to deliver winning products.
  • Understands the customer and gains market insights to ensure products meet their needs
  • Coordinates product pilots with clear objectives, presents outcome, and leverages learnings to ensure success of final product or service offering.
  • Works closely with different business units to achieve specific product and service goals.
  • Collaborates with Brand team to develop sales kits, collateral, point of sales materials, presentation, photography, advertising opportunities, and other events such as tradeshows.
  • Performs ad hoc reporting responsibilities and other marketing tasks. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
  • Ability to formulate strategic growth plans and tactics to enable category growth.
  • Strong Excel skills to analyze raw data, create charts/graphs, and summarize key findings.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills to formulate / communicate findings and recommendations to senior executives.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated business savvy to effectively communicate and work with team and other executives in support of achieving business goals.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities between multiple business units.
  • Proficiency and comfortable presenting to team and company leaders.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of marketing and / or product management experience, B2B marketing preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or similar business-related field; MBA preferred.

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $135,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
