As the Senior Manager of Product Management for Edge Computing as a Service, you will lead a team responsible for defining and executing the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery. This role requires deep understanding of cloud and edge technologies, market dynamics for remote computing and customer needs for latency sensitive applications. The role and the team will be driver for innovation in hybrid computing utilizing cloud and edge while growing our services portfolio.

Desired locations include Palo Alto, CA or Houston, TX. Remote within United States can be considered for the right candidate.

The role will require international and domestic travel for minimum of 20% of the year.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion, develop and communicate a product strategy, aggregated product plan and roadmap aligned with customer needs and business objectives
  • Drive product development process from concept to launch, working closely with CTOs, engineering, sales, marketing, customer support and business operations functions. Own and manage post launch product performance to drive appropriate cross functional actions for market adoption
  • Drive customer centricity to obtain and sustain high NPS
  • Build and develop a high-performing product management team, providing mentorship, guidance and professional development
  • As a strategic business initiative leader, set policy and direction, build plans, operationalize, and measure 4P success in collaboration with cross functional teams: Engineering, Marketing, Sales, NPI
  • Partner across the organization to structure problems, develop hypotheses, conduct analyses to turn data into meaningful insights
  • Apply proven frameworks for customer journey, value and offer maps to build products rooted in customer insights
  • Become an advisor to CTOs, engineering and product owner for prioritizing development activities across computing, networking, storage, software and automation to deliver the service with high SLA
  • Define and track KPIs to measure success and effectiveness of the offers; drive continuous improvements inclusive of customer use of product and ability to go-to-market.
  • Lead with data-driven decision making, especially to develop the experience and product roadmaps by surfacing and synthesizing “outside-in” insights
  • Own and manage to budget and P&L

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in leadership roles, inclusive of people management with a focus on cloud/edge/colo infrastructure, products, and services
  • Passion to proactively develop self and staff, in both soft skills as well as accelerated technology learnings leading to product applications. Proven experience in managing a matrix environment as well as across geographies
  • Strong technical background with hands on experience in cloud/edge/co-lo computing technologies and principles: Virtualization, 10G/100G networking, network attached storage, bios, imaging and infra automation
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation, customer success and business results
  • Strong business and financial acumen with demonstrated experience in delivering business results
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful and thoughtful customer experience improvements that solve real customer problems and create significant business value
  • Proven track record of managing technology partners for data center, computing, storage, networking and software stack required to deploy cloud/edge services
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully developing and deploying cloud/edge/co-lo products or services in a fast-paced & agile environment
  • Planning yearly budgeting, accounting for fixed and variable costs of a cloud/edge/co-lo service
  • Clear, crisp and concise verbal and written communication skills; with ability to identify opportunities and influence organizations in garnering support for change
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement by applying new technologies to overcome computing challenges

Education:

  • BS or MS in Computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is 157,550.00 - 228,448.000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
