Senior Financial Analyst, Global FP&A (P&L) at a Glance….

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Finance Analyst (SFA) to join our Global Team in Chicago. The P&L team sits within the wider Global FP&A function and is responsible for in-year performance tracking including monthly and quarterly financial routines and analysis relating to the Company’s P&L. The SFA will provide financial analysis and visibility of P&L performance for all zones across the Company. There will be significant interaction with senior stakeholders across the globe including the Global CFO, Zone CFO’s and SVP of Financial Planning.

What’s on the menu?

  • Support the monthly reporting and forecast cycle by assembling various outputs for senior stakeholders including monthly preliminary results, monthly business review (MBR) and monthly forecasting ensuring accurate, quality and timely deliverables
  • Analyze trends in P&L performance including variance to prior year, budget and previous forecasts with the ability to communicate the nature of drivers and any risks / opportunities to the Plan
  • Consolidate and cleanse data from various internal and external sources to produce concise, insightful analysis.
  • Own and track financial KPI’s on a monthly and quarterly basis against targets for our MBO program
  • Routine cross collaboration with Zone FP&A teams and Global functions such as Tax, Treasury, Accounting, Investor Relations, Operations and ZBB to understand performance, validate drivers, as well as update and track the latest forecast
  • Work closely with external reporting and Investor Relations during the quarter close process providing additional financial analysis as required
  • Identify and implement areas of improvement within the current existing routines.
  • Ad hoc project opportunities such as M&A

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other applicable quantitative field required; CPA or MBA preferred
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience with exposure to P&L required; prior background in accounting / audit, consulting, investment banking or corporate finance preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills with ability to run complex models required
  • Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills; ability to work within a large team with frequent interactions between team members, peers and other functional groups
  • Detail oriented and proficient in financial statement analysis
  • Ability to pick up and absorb information quickly, whilst working in a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly
