About the Role

Charlie Health is seeking an SEO Manager that will drive growth at Charlie Health through the use of content marketing and organic search. Reporting to the VP of Growth, the Manager will play a key role in how Charlie Health reaches and engages with our high-priority audiences, driving evergreen awareness of and traffic to our programs.This individual will drive the strategy and execution of our SEO program, partnering closely with the rest of our Content team and other cross functional partners to meet our strategic goals. An ideal SEO Manager will possess a high level of initiative, project management skills, analytical rigor, and creativity used to hit our goals.

Responsibilities

  • Set and execute our overall SEO strategy, including identifying our target topics and keywords and prioritizing our SEO tactics to achieve our goals
  • Partner closely with our Content team in the creation and optimization of our blog and web content
  • Execute changes to website architecture, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
  • Carry out keyword research using software such as Ahrefs to optimize our content
  • Develop and implement link building campaigns that can be implemented at scale
  • Manage external relationships with third party agencies and tools where needed
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement with AI, staying up to date with recent tools and developments
  • Perform ongoing performance and data analysis, maintaining dashboards and reporting on performance on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Actively monitor and share industry news, SEO trends, and new tools & techniques
  • Partner with cross-functional teams outside of Marketing to support broader company goals where needed
  • Work with our web developer to conduct landing page tests and optimizations to improve user experience and conversion optimization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, or other quantitative discipline
  • 4+ years of experience delivering and executing SEO campaigns
  • Experience working in Google Search Console, Bing Webmasters Tools, Ahefs, SEMRush, Google Analytics and Screaming Frog
  • Knowledge of AI tools and their applications in content and SEO
  • Experience running successful link-building campaigns.
  • Experience with Wordpress and other content management systems
  • Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience reporting on and analyzing campaign results 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proven track record of improving search rankings and increasing organic traffic 
  • Work authorized in the United States
  • Native or bilingual English proficiency
  • Able to work a hybrid schedule of 4 days/week in our NYC office and located within 75 minutes' commuting distance of the office

Additional Information

The total target cash compensation for this role will be between $115,000 and $145,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and number of years of experience. Further, cash compensation is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may include stock options and other Charlie Health-sponsored benefits. #LI-HYBRID
