Graphic Designer

Hearst Media Production Group (HMPG) seeks an experienced designer with exceptional design and creative skills to join our team. Working closely with HMPG’s EVPs and Creative Service Director, this position is responsible for designing show logos, key art, pitch decks, print ads and supporting elements for business development and marketing needs.

This position reports to the Creative Services Director.

This position is based on-site in our Charlotte, NC office.

Responsibilities

  • Create show logo and key art development from concept to completion
  • Design high-end presentations and pitch desks
  • Concept and design national print ads
  • Support day-to-day design needs for all departments 
  • Create print, digital, and supporting materials for B-2-B and B-2-C projects

Experience

  • 3-5 years working to package broadcast, cable, or network shows
  • Deep understanding of show production, pitch process and how key art helps drive overall packaging for programming
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and work quickly for new development
  • Ability to manage media assets and projects from concept to completion
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud including Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects and Premiere
  • Understanding of C4D a plus

Qualifications

  • Extraordinary visualization, conceptualization, and design skills with strong background print design
  • Design portfolio representing current industry trends and techniques
  • Strong communication and organizational skills including presentation skills, both in person and remotely with clients
  • Comprehensive firsthand knowledge of on-air, print and digital graphics importance and functionality combined
  • Background/experience in television or film is a plus

Education

  • Related experience and/or training considered as well as a combination of education and experience
