The Director of Enrollment Management and Admission will be responsible for ensuring the enrollment of mission-aligned academically-prepared students to all degree programs in the College of Health Sciences. They will also supervise the admission, financial assistance, and student account areas and personnel. By recruiting and enrolling students to meet the requirements of the college’s degree programs, the director is advancing the University mission and strategic plan.

Duties

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to each of the functions within Enrollment Management: Admission, Financial Assistance, and Student Accounts. Create, examine, and refine operational procedures, policies, and standards for each of the areas within Enrollment Management.
  • Serve as the Coordinator of Admissions for the College of Health Sciences. This responsibility will include selecting and implementing the appropriate technology tools required to support all admission operations. Partnering with the University's IMC team to market and recruit students to CHS degree programs. To provide all necessary admission services, including but not limited to enrollment engagement, communication, data analytics and reporting. Advise on processes and methods for establishing future enrollment targets, in consideration of factors related to revenue needs, resource implications, student quality, instructional capacity, and other factors involved in the successful delivery and management of CHS programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, as well as University policies, regarding the administering of financial assistance to students. Collaborate with the University Associate Provost for Financial Assistance in administering all financial assistance programs and responsibilities. Carefully steward and manage the college's financial assistance resources.
  • Direct the development and successful operation of the Student Accounts office to ensure the successful collection of student payments and distribution of college revenues.
  • Engage college stakeholders (founding dean,school deans, program directors,, faculty program committees, academic and administrative offices/departments) on all enrollment management matters for the diverse portfolio of CHS degree and non-degree programs.
  • Oversee the admission review process and all associated elements, including the development and revision of program-specific admission standards, recruitment plans, program committee review, decision-making, and applicant notification.
  • Develop strategy, direction, coordination, and assessment for enrollment management, college, and school-specifc initiatives. Coordinate with all online program managers (OPMs) in the execution of admission processes delivered by the OPMs.
  • Coordinate with all relevant University and college areas, including OneStop, the Registrar''s Office, etc.
  • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain all personnel necessary to perform all functions of the Enrollment Management office.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

The College of Health Science is in its initial stage of development. As needs arise, the director must be adaptable and adept at responding to unexpected requests and responsibilities should they arise.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Administration, Business, Marketing, Communications or related field. 5+ years of senior level management experience in higher education administration, enrollment management, or comparable professional experience. Alignment with University and college mission of service, purpose and leadership. Ability to work within a diverse community by establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with faculty, staff, healthcare partners, campus partners, and the public in a manner that promotes a positive image of the University. Political acumen, diplomacy and confidentiality; a clear and confident communication style that shows integrity and represents the University with the highest degree of professionalism. Strategic planning, analytical, and program evaluation skills to effectively provide sound recommendations, continually examine systems, and develop or revise to accommodate change requirements. Demonstrated management, leadership, and supervision experience, strong conflict management skills, excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to motivate a dynamic staff of multiple behavior styles while building team cohesion and collaboration.

Preferred: Demonstrated expertise in enrollment management, admissions, financial assistance, student accounts, and communications to include strategic planning, data analysis and reporting, budgeting and supervision. Demonstrated project management, organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to draw conclusions, develop recommendations and effectively communicate to a diverse audience. Familiarity with higher education goals, structures, and communication standards, and the ability to understand, analyze and present relevant information to a variety of audiences. Ability to stay up-to-date on emerging communications technologies and admissions strategies.

This is a Regular, Exempt, 40 hour per week position.

Expected Pay Range: $86,000 - $101,000 per year 

The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. In addition to base pay, Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitive benefits package.
