Please note: This is a hybrid position and will require commuting to our Flatiron office in NYC 3 days per week.

Job Summary:

As a User Experience Designer at IIN, you will be responsible for designing compelling, efficient, and innovative digital experiences, with a primary focus on optimizing our marketing and ecommerce website. The ideal candidate should have experience with all parts of the Design Thinking process. Specifically, you will focus on leveraging best practices and data to make design decisions, creating wireframes, low and high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for stakeholder approvals and developer handoffs, as well as usability testing designs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Make strategic improvements for CRO across website properties, thinking about the UX of site and flow of traffic holistically
  • Lead UI/UX aspects of user experience research and associated interface design, wireframing, and documentation for engaging, interactive, and innovative capabilities,
  • Generate wireframes, low and high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and behavioral specifications.
  • Test prototypes and products to determine challenges that users experience during the interaction
  • Follow design guidelines for implementation, visual language, color story, themes, CSS styles based on IIN standards
  • Serve as a design lead for small interdisciplinary agile teams focused on producing user-informed functional prototypes that could be tested in target markets, and
  • Collaborate with both internal and external colleagues and consultants to ensure on-time completion of project goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design user testing projects & leverage for UX improvements
  • Partner with web manager to improve conversion rate performance of marketing & e-commerce website

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • BS Required, preferably in UX related fields of HCI, Product Design, Computer Science or Graphic Design
  • Business minded and data driven and comfortable setting up user testing processes, using G4, Crazy Egg, and similar tools
  • Have managed a CMS, especially Hubspot
  • Experience in Product Design tools like Figma, Axure RP or Adobe XD.
  • Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Invision.
  • At least 4 years of experience working as a web or UI designer, applying learning science and design principles to the development of technology enhanced learning solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in agile teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-divisional stakeholder groups; can present and adapt ideas to different audiences.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Can prioritize, think critically, and see the big picture
  • Must be up to date on latest UX trends and best practices
  • Excellent time-management skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Can self-manage and prioritize across multiple projects/deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; can give and receive constructive feedback
  • Flexible and able to adapt with a positive attitude

Compensation:

$88,000-$110,000

The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted.
