OVERVIEW:

The Senior Manager, Creative Operations reports to the Director of Creative Operations and is responsible for the day-to-day project management and traffic flow of print and digital projects within the Creative Department. The Senior Manager, Creative Operations will ensure that all work is assigned appropriately and shepherded through the Creative team from kickoff to file release. The Senior Manager will also own 1 to 2 Large Categories, including 2+ “MUST WIN” product SKU’s. They will work closely with the Director to ensure strategic initiatives are appropriately staffed, executive timelines can be actioned on, and work will be on brand. 

In addition to managing the queue of work for Creative, the Senior Manager of Creative Operations will also act as the creative/marketing “quarterback” within their category—they will bring together timelines and needs from Marketing, PD, Video Production, Photo Production, CGI, Media and Print Production and align the full Creative and Marketing organization against an actionable workflow. The Senior Manager of Creative Operations will be responsible for communicating and workback schedules for all creative milestones and needed inputs from Marketing, PD, and Media.

Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:

  • Serve as initial point of contact for the Director of Creative Operations to assist with all strategic initiatives pertaining to Ninja. 
  • Manage 1 or 2 large categories within the Ninja Brand, including 2+ “MUST WIN” product SKU’s.
  • Lead weekly and daily status update meetings with key Creative Team members, business partners, and maintain daily hot lists as needed for 1 or 2 sub-categories.
  • Prepare and negotiate timelines, schedules, and resources with Brand, Product, Creative or other team members as needed.
  • Communicate regularly about project progress, status, scope, risks and opportunities to team, colleagues and managers (e.g. Director, Creative Services & Operations, Brand Management, Creative Services, etc.).
  • Partner with Senior Creative Directors, art directors and writers for successful launch of new products.
  • Proactively set expectations, communicate project status, and assist internal clients.
  • Proactively reach out to business partners to forecast work and maintain production schedules.
  • Manage Workfront as needed to support the team’s workload and provide visibility to dates and resource constraints
  • Identify inefficiencies and proactively refine and establish processes to streamline creative work. Process improvements to span across inner-team dynamics, Workfront, and overall creative collateral routing.

  • Ability to understand interdepartmental structure and dynamics; manage up, or sideways as needed; use diplomacy to balance competing project requests.

  • Comfortable in team or autonomous work situations.
  • Strong service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to partner with clients to develop relevant, effective marketing communications strategies—scoping projects in support of business objectives.
  • Friendly, calm, reliable, with a sense of humor and desire to produce amazing for the business.

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.
  • 10+ years of experience in Project Management or closely related Traffic Management position in a creative environment.
  • Experience working at in-house creative departments or ad agency environments that support worldwide offices required.
  • Strong planning, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to lead multiple activities and resources while maintaining a focus on quality.
  • Thorough understanding of Creative Studio processes and asset libraries.
  • Proficiency in Workfront, Excel, Microsoft Word required, Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint a plus. 
  • PMP certification a plus.
