Job Description: 

Join the Datacenter Thermal Mechanical Solutions team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the development of thermal modeling.
  • Process automation.
  • Documentation development.
  • Support CPU thermal/mechanical solution development for various server market segments by working with a team of cross-site architects, mechanical, thermal, electrical, and structural engineers.

Length of internship: Minimum of 6 months and could be extended to 9 months as per Candidate availability and business needs.

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 3+ months of experience in any of the following:

Basic heat transfer processes

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools like FloTherm or Icepack

Programming capability for automation or testing (Python, Labview, or Matlab)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Server computer system layout and basic component architecture
  • Modeling of air-cooled and liquid cooled server systems
  • Technical writing of instructions, requirements, methods, or empirical results
  • Data analysis
