AWS Clean Rooms helps companies and their partners more easily and securely analyze and collaborate on their collective datasets—all without sharing or copying one another's underlying data. With AWS Clean Rooms, customers can create a secure data clean room in minutes and collaborate with any other company on AWS to generate unique insights about advertising campaigns, investment decisions, and research and development. These services serve as the building blocks for enterprises and business to start using their data across various aspects of their consumer journey and collaborate with their business partner companies to enhance their first party data sets producing business useful insights in a consumer privacy safe environment. With these collaborations, companies can enhance their consumer insights by bringing together disparate data from across engagement channels and partner datasets to form a 360-degree view of their individual consumers. For example, companies can collaborate with advertising and marketing partners to improve campaign planning, activation, and measurement, and offer better, more relevant consumer experiences. They can collaborate to securely accelerate the development of new products, technologies, and programs that rely on datasets across multiple companies.

Job Summary

The AWS Applications team is seeking the Head of Product for Data Collaboration Applications, a highly visible leadership role. The ideal candidate should have experience in data privacy, big data analytics, data lakes, and strength in data-related infrastructure concepts. In addition to strong technical knowledge, the ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced start-up like environment, be passionate about solving ambiguous problems, and have the aptitude to prioritize the right aspects of the business strategy for these related products (AWS Clean Rooms, AWS Entity Resolution) across many enterprise industry verticals. The ideal candidate also exhibits understanding of consumer data privacy challenges in relevant industries such as advertising and marketing, financial services, as well as health care and life science, and the relevant industry trends. They should have a good understanding of the trends in the consumer data privacy and the evolution of relevant industry such as marketing and advertising technology as a result.

We are seeking a seasoned leader to own the portfolio of products and features we build in the context of data privacy, as well as the product strategy of AWS Data Collaboration Applications. The head of product is responsible for investment ROI, product and development and technology strategy, executive partnership with C-suite of Fortune 500 strategic customers, and building a happy, healthy, high-performance organization. The Head of Product is a senior member of the leadership team driving broad industry transformation and game changing business outcomes on AWS. Key job responsibilities

A successful candidate will have lead product organization, built and scaled high performing technical product teams, be familiar with operational best practices, be dedicated to diversity and inclusivity, be versed in Cloud and Data systems, and have world class business acumen to be stubborn about the long-term vision, flexible on the implementation details, and clever in driving short term, incremental results.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering required. MBA preferred
  • 15+ Years of delivering product results
  • 10+ Years of technology leadership, managing and building large teams
  • Strong judgement and business acumen in determining strategic vision and running a complex, multivariate business
  • Deep understanding of the fundamentals of building and operating data systems including privacy-safe data applications
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong judgement in managing growth and diversity in a fast-expanding organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience successfully partnering with and communicating effectively to C-suite Executives on highly strategic programs
  • Proven track record of solving large scale data and security/privacy challenges
  • Experience with big data concepts such as data lakes, map-reduce/spark, machine learning, and real time data management systems
  • Experience building products with Cloud services, preferably AWS
  • Pragmatic understanding of big data/analytics applications and distributed system optimization
  • Proven ability to distill durable market trends to insightful product vision in highly ambiguous emerging markets
  • Track record of delivering organization transformation in support of digital technology and business outcomes
  • Understanding of pricing and financial analysis
  • Experience building products and GTM in consumer data related applications such as advertising and marketing, media and entertainment, financial services and healthcare and life sciences.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $239,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
