GENERAL DUTIES
CUNY Medicine is a highly collaborative, fast-paced, environment that values expertise and welcomes new thinking and innovative approaches. Reporting to the Director of Communications and College Relations, and working in collaboration with two other communications team members, the Web Developer will advance the structure, user experience, and overall look and feel of the CUNY Medicine website. The website should become a storytelling engine that serves as an impressive digital experience for prospective students, researchers, clinical partners, and the world.
The Web Developer must have a strong background in data analytics to inform website enhancements, as well as a knowledge of web copywriting and an eye for visual storytelling. The incumbent will work independently and in partnership with representatives from various departments to understand their website needs, make insightful recommendations, set reasonable collaborative deadlines, and bring projects to a timely close.The Web Developer be responsible for revamping and standardizing the overall structure of the website, building and deploying new web pages, managing the integration of plugins, improving the mobile experience, and performing routine maintenance.
Remote work is possible, but there will be virtual meetings during business hours and there may be some onsite meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in web development required or six (6) years of relevant full-time experience.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
COMPENSATION
Non-teaching Adjunct (Level 2): $49.31/hr-$59.00 per hour
(Non-teaching adjuncts may work a maximum of 700 hours per year).
