The University of Virginia has an exciting Director opportunity on our HR People Data and Analytics (PD&A) team. You will provide vision and overall leadership to the business intelligence, data analytics and Human Resources programs to ensure alignment with the Department’s needs and objectives. Our HR PD&A team applies cutting-edge technology and techniques to bring solutions to our clients using tools including Workday and Qlik. You will help oversee and lead activities of PD&A programs and direct the alignment, adoption, and integration of these disciplines in support of the mission, vision, and strategies of our organization including both the University and UVA Health. This position will specifically support programs and projects within the Department of Human Resources.
The Director communicates strategy and UVA HR analytics technology roadmaps to staff and executive teams; leverages recognized technical and business expertise to influence, guide, and shape business strategy and decision-making at the highest organizational levels.
Job Description
The Director of PD&A is responsible for providing actionable information and insights about UVA’s people to drive a rewarding employee experience, allow for data-driven decision making, and, ultimately, overall organizational success. The Director will continue to develop the forward-looking strategic direction for the PD&A with a focus on enablement and automation, move the HR PD&A team and UVA up the data and analytics maturity curve, and lead the team responsible and accountable for delivering needed people data, insights, and products. This leader will work in a cross-functional environment to scale data-informed solutions across UVA HR, the University, and UVA Health. The ideal candidate is a proven leader both tactically and strategically who can play a vital, hands-on role in developing the HR PD&A team, data management and governance practices, tools, and technology evolution, and leveraging evolving good practices.

Education: Bachelor's Degree.
Experience: 8 years’ relevant experience. Significant, equivalent combination of experience and qualifications may substitute for degree requirement.
Preferred Experience
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $150,000.00 - 180,000.00 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
