The Release Engineer is responsible for driving various teams – both internal and external – to deliver product development features to the market on a bi-weekly cadence. This position is responsible for identifying product rollout requirements including infrastructure, internal operations, external operations, training and then developing and executing against a project plan, proactively mitigating risks, and managing the software development life cycle from inception to production launch and post-production support. We are looking for a seasoned and hands-on senior Release Engineer who can seamlessly work with global teams to:

  • Define, enhance and implement the release processes across the MS Dynamics 365 landscape and teams to ensure strict governance and control
  • Define, agree and optimize cutover schedules with project teams and business stakeholders
  • Plan and track releases, upgrades and changes to the MS Dynamics 365 environments (test, pre-production and production)
  • Support and mentor MS Dynamics 365 resources to understand the change and release management processes to ensure consistent delivery
  • Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
  • Identify the risks and propose steps to mitigate them
  • Identify opportunities for automation to support CI/CD goals
  • Collaborate/communicate across global business and technology organizations, providing sound analysis and change leadership
  • Building and maintaining strong internal customer relationships is essential as this position will work with Business Partners, internal staff and system integrators daily to ensure quality assurance is performed in alignment with global initiatives and requirements across the enterprise.
  • Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists.
  • Team up with relevant development teams present in India and the US, who are responsible for building the automation tools used to develop and deploy the software.
  • Assist in attending the Change Control meetings to discuss the release schedules with the team and resolve roadblocks, if any.
  • Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and dependencies.
  • Implement and oversee the integration of AI solutions, such as GenAI, into the release process to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure that releases are delivered on time and while meeting or exceeding quality standards.
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process, including the utilization of AI technologies.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM
  • Proven experience in release management especially in CRM instances
  • Strong hands-on expertise and knowledge of MS Dynamics 365, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, Git
  • Prior experience in implementing CI/CD or any automation in CRM release management is preferred
  • Experience with AI implementation in the context of release management, specifically GenAI, is highly desirable
  • Experience with C# or Visual Basic, Java/JQuery, Visual Studio, Web Services, and the CRM SDK is required
  • Excellent process orientation, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex software development issues
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs
  • Should be well-versed working in an Agile environment
  • Proactive thinking with a can-do attitude
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or Engineering discipline. Master s Degree is a plus
