You will join our Online Sales (E-commerce) department based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in the position of: 

Merchandising & UX Lead - EMEA

About the Role:

As the Merchandising & UX Lead - EMEA, you will be responsible for enhancing the online customer experience and driving sales growth across all branded sites in the EMEA region. Reporting to the E-commerce Manager, you will lead the Merchandising and UX-team and build. The Direct E-commerce team is responsible for managing the branded sites, such as jbl.com and Harman Kardon. across all European markets as well as marketplaces. For HARMAN, Online Sales is a strategic priority. Due to the rapid growth in recent years, we are now looking to recruit an EMEA Merchandising & UX Lead

What You Will Do:

You are responsible for ensuring an optimal site merchandising strategy and shopping experience for all EMEA brand sites. Reporting to the E-commerce Manager you’ll be able to identify, deliver and analyze the success of projects to grow sales online.

  • Lead and guide a team of three direct reports.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the conversion rate and usability of all EMEA branded sites, ensuring an enhanced customer experience online.
  • Collaborate closely with the Web Analyst to gather insights from quantitative and qualitative research, identifying target areas and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead the testing roadmap and ideation process, providing optimization opportunities for the A/B testing pipeline.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs for adaptation and improvements that positively impact customer experience, conversion rate, and commercial performance.
  • Enhance up-selling and cross-selling capabilities on our platforms through strategic initiatives and campaigns.
  • Coordinate the setup of campaigns, promotions, and commercialization efforts for New Product Introductions (NPI), including product homepage management, banner creation, and trading campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the IT/development team to implement tested designs and functionalities, leveraging Demandware platform capabilities.
  • Manage third-party partnerships and explore new opportunities to enhance online touchpoints.
  • Set targets for the merchandising team, analyze shopping experiences, and optimize merchandising strategy and assortment performance.
  • Report on business performance against targets and drive improvements in catalog management processes.
  • Coordinate bug fixes, prepare change requests, and oversee their implementation.
  • Willingness to work at the Amsterdam office 2-3 days a week.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce merchandising and conversion optimization.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a people manager
  • Experience with Demandware platform, A/B testing platforms and Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • Basic understanding of development processes and coaching people.
  • Analytical skills and able to set clear KPIs for managing site performance.
  • Ability to work cross-functional and excellent stakeholder management.
  • Experience in managing multiple direct reports and coordinating with third-party partners.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-regionally and globally in a diverse, multicultural team setting.
