Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our team at Guardian Fueling Technologies. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expanding our market presence. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, managing opportunities in progress, building outreach campaigns, and contributing to the overall new-business success of Guardian Fueling Technologies.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions:

Digital Advertisements: Create and manage outbound ad campaigns on LinkedIn, Facebook, and other digital platforms to reach Guardian’s core audience. 

Prospecting and Lead Generation: Develop and execute targeted prospecting strategies to generate leads, nurture relationships, and convert opportunities into business partnerships, including phone calls, emails, and in-person events.

Proposal Development: Collaborate with company-wide teams to create compelling proposals, presentations, and business cases tailored to the needs of prospective clients.

Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline effectively, tracking and reporting progress regularly. Implement and utilize CRM tools for efficient lead tracking and customer relationship management.

Lead and Deal Management: This role will work closely with existing teams to ensure leads are dealt with promptly and to best practices. 

Negotiation: Lead initial negotiations with potential clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. 

(A plus) EV & Alternative Fuels Expertise: Develop a comprehensive working knowledge of Electric, Hydrogen, and other clean fuels to better serve Guardian’s fueling customers now and in the future.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with digital advertising and ad campaign management
  • Proven track record in business development, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the fueling industry, including knowledge of market trends, competitors, and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to travel to trade shows and other in-person events.

Work Environment: 

This job operates primarily in a home office provided by employee. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position may require periodic travel and visits to company and vendor office(s).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, M-F.

Travel: Minimal travel is expected for this position.
