Job Summary:

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a highly motivated engineer to serve as a program Software Quality Engineer (SQE) providing complete life-cycle support to large-scale software and systems integration programs at our Aurora, CO location.

The Software Quality Engineer will ensure the quality and success of delivered software, hardware, and related documentation

This position is an onsite role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Review contract Statements of Work (SOW) and RTX Stages changes and ensure content is integrated into program plans and tracking systems.
  • Interface with customer representatives.
  • Interface with program management, engineering, development, integration, and test teams
  • Provide proposal inputs including labor bids with justifiable task descriptions / bases of estimates.
  • Review program/contract quality requirements and flow to suppliers and/or subcontractors.
  • Review and approve supplier/subcontractor test procedures and test results.
  • Review and ensure program plans, procedures, Raytheon policies, and contract compliance documents for consistency and SOW satisfaction.
  • Develop, review, and approve program quality plans, subcontractor SOWs, Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs), Subcontractor Data Requirements List (SDRLs), etc.
  • Schedule and perform program internal audits and objective evaluations to verify compliance and effectiveness with program processes.
  • Participate in program team meetings, peer reviews, technical reviews, and formal reviews, such as Gate reviews and program milestone reviews.
  • Actively participate (identify, review, mitigate) in program risk and opportunity process.
  • Manage program corrective actions.
  • Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from metrics.
  • Review and approve internal acceptance test plans, procedures, and test automation.
  • Conduct pre- and post-test environment configuration audits, ensure discrepancies are resolved, and witness acceptance and qualification testing.
  • Monitor tests, review test results (unit test, system test, regression test) and ensure issues are addressed.
  • Support delivered system Installations.
  • Lead Lessons Learned and Root Cause Analysis efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum two (2) years of prior relevant experience.
  • Two (2) years’ working experience with multi-discipline, software, or system development.
  • Working experience throughout the complete program life cycle with multi-discipline, including Software, Quality Engineering.
  • Working experience with Quality Management Systems and compliance.
  • Working experience performing independent assessments and evaluations.
  • Working experience gathering, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from metrics.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance."

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and certification in Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Experience in system engineering, developing, integrating, and testing software, including COTS integration and test automation.
  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
  • CORE certification.
  • Auditing experience.
  • Operational experience with command-and-control ground systems.
  • Company-specific Mission Assurance certification.
  • Experience with collaborative development environments.
  • Knowledge of AS9100.
  • Ability to effectively interface with internal/external customers, subcontractor personnel and program leadership.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
