The Meetings & Events Planner plans and executes internal and client facing events, office parties and social events, as well as corporate gifts. The Planner reports to the Head of Global Events and interacts with consulting and administrative staff at all levels.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities of the Meeting & Events Team:

  • Manage and own events from ideation to project planning, coordination of all event logistics (i.e. venue sourcing, contracts, communications, registration, travel, accommodations, F&B, programming/agenda, space design, etc.), budget management, execution, and on-site staffing.
  • Training Programs and Recruiting Events – Various events and programs around the US ranging from 25 - 300+ people.
  • Social Events – Holiday Party, Summer Party, Analyst Events, Office Parties, and Case Team celebrations.
  • Weekend Away trips – Social trips for each office annually either skiing or some other fun weekend trip including Boston Ski Trip, New York Weekend Away, Montreal Ski Trip, Denver Weekend Away, among others.
  • Marketing Events and Conferences – Client events ranging from occasional small dinners to annual receptions, symposiums, and speaker dinners both nationally and internationally.
  • Firm wide internal meetings - including Sr. Staff Annual Meeting, Partner Meetings and Retreats, AG Orientation ranging from 60 - 350 people both nationally and internationally.
  • DEI Events – Black@AG Summits, Women’s+ Events, Asians@AG, Latinx@AG, Pride@AG events.
  • Pro Bono and Charity Events: Various road races, and fundraising events.
  • Other Meetings and Events – Assist, coordinate, manage or execute as needed.
  • Corporate Gifts
  • Research, vet and order annual corporate gifts for staff and affiliates as well as event related swag.

General Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute high quality, successful events that promote AG’s culture.
  • Prepare budgets and track expenses throughout the year.
  • Manage the master calendar of meetings and events.
  • Provide oversight to onsite events.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel required (10% – 20%) for venue selection and onsite management of events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • An ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years relevant meeting and event planning experience with proven ability to manage high-end events and executive business meetings.
  • Strong ability to work and partner cross-functionally with other teams at AG, including Marketing, Recruiting, Learning & Development, DEI, Executive Administrative Staff and Travel.
  • Excellent organizational and event/project management skills, as well as strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility to work in a group, as well as independently. Energetic team player who can multitask and is comfortable in both leadership and support roles.
  • Superior customer service skills with an obsessive eye for detail.
  • Solid proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office and Outlook. Experience with Cvent, SharePoint and CRM systems a plus.
  • This position is not a fully remote position. Our team is in the office at least 3 – 4 days a week.
