You are a technically adept individual with a strong background in software development and testing, particularly in scalable, data-intensive, distributed SaaS applications. Teamwork is your mantra, and you are eager to learn and share knowledge as part of our extensive service platform.

Who You'll Work With

Working within the Quality Engineering organization, you will form partnerships with various development teams, operations, and support, focusing on delivering and maintaining high-quality features. Collaboration with the broader QE team will enhance your contribution to automation frameworks and tooling.

What You'll Do

As part of our Quality Engineering team, your role will be centered around Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and the application of Quality Engineering best practices. With your knowledge in cloud technologies, particularly Kubernetes, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities.

  • Design and implement automated testing pipelines for the validation of software dealing with high-volume data.
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies and work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of product quality.
  • Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and address defects, while enhancing the efficiency of development and testing workflows.
  • Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, contributing to the improvement of code quality and its maintainability.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development by acquiring new skills, embracing emerging technologies, and keeping abreast of the latest testing methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline coupled with 7+ years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Demonstrated competency in Java programming and proven experience with test planning, test automation, custom test application development, and tools such as TestNG and Rest APIs.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS services, showcasing a strong foundation in cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD processes specifically tailored for customer-facing products.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively debug complex, microservices-based distributed systems, highlighting advanced problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient with version control and build systems, including Git and Artifactory, as well as CI/CD tools such as TeamCity, complemented by scripting expertise in Bash/Makefile.
  • Skilled in scripting with Python and Node.js, coupled with experience in messaging systems, notably Kafka.
  • Knowledgeable in the principles and application of OpenTelemetry for monitoring and tracing.
  • Experienced in utilizing observability platforms such as Splunk, AppDynamics, and Grafana to monitor and analyze system performance.
