Job Description

  • Provide technical sales solutioning. Product types include, but, exclusive to virtual card solutions, API integrations for B2B payment capabilities, and complex SaaS offerings such as Enterprise and Small Business expense and card management solutions
  • Work hand in hand with sales teams, regional solution specialists and potential clients, answering questions as well as providing recommendations on the best way to use the product to achieve the desired outcomes. This in-depth experience with clients will also transfer into implementation with appropriate handoffs to Client Services
  • Assist the sales teams in region to close a deal, identify best in class ways to use and implement the product which achieves the goals without development and identify necessary areas of development and customer needs.
  • Manage, co-ordinate and report on the end-to-end implementation and roll-out of Commercial Solutions and services for Visa Commercial Clients in the region
  • Lead business optimization reporting and execution of Customer Lifecycle Management activities on Visa commercial client portfolios to increase Net revenue volumes and achieve growth targets
  • Focus on driving new purchase volume and revenue with Visa commercial issuers across all groups, which entails securing targeted opportunities in the public & private sectors in alignment and partnership with financial institution partners
  • Collaborate with Visa Commercial Solutions Hub team on new product development, technology, innovation initiatives, industry events and promotions
  • Contribute to the annual business and account plan for the assigned clients, agreeing with matrixed stakeholders required actions and deliverables in close collaboration with the Country Manager, the respective Issuer Business Development (BDs) and VCS Regional sales teams.
  • Analyze business opportunities to increase volume and share implementing both short and long term strategies and tactics to increase profitability
  • Act as a resident expert on product capabilities, use cases, and roadmap. Support stakeholder questions related to products and services. Communicate and evangelizes product roadmap with key stakeholders
  • Provide input to key artifacts such as Service Activation Guides and Client Implementation Guides
  • Provide project management support for unique, client driven projects
  • Travel as required, aligned to business priorities and objectives.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years experience with related business development and product management experience in financial technology and or payments industry, across the small business and large to middle market client segment.
  • Past or current work experience with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in Commercial Card Issuing and Acquiring, Transaction Banking Solutions and or SME banking preferred
  • An Africa mindset with demonstrated success aligning stakeholders in multiple countries
  • Proven record of implementing strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and closing a complex, competitive sales effort and managing deals from negotiation, to closing and through delivery
  • Teamwork, interpersonal and relationship building skills, and ability to lead by influence and example
  • Confidence in building management Level communications and delivering presentations
  • Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, and to influence management and other relevant parties
  • Product management subject matter expert with experience in developing and deploying go to market strategy for payment solutions or technology a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in selling complex solutions or B2B product consulting
  • Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
  • MBA or Masters is an added advantage
  • Strong written and oral communication, including large group presentations
