Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager. This role takes place at our facility in Omaha, NE. We are able to offer relocation for candidates within the United States.

The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for Omaha Power Center sales, marketing, pricing, demand forecast/SIOP, project management, and growth strategies for the Outdoor and Indoor Medium Voltage Metal Clad Switchgear (MVA, MVS), and Gas Insulated Switchgear (XGIS). The Manager coordinates with customers, sales, engineering, and operations to coordinate customer orders, site visits, and technical questions. Responsibilities includes leading customer quotations and support price negotiations when needed, while providing daily commercial guidance and technical support, as well as other customer requested support functions as required to properly support profitable sales growth in line with product line and division objectives. You will oversee the daily activity and support the career development of Product Sales Engineers / Project Managers. Additionally, you'll identify changing market conditions that affect the product line and implement actions that will correct and/or take advantage of these market conditions. Also, report monthly product line metrics including sales, orders, backlog, segment/channel price bands, realized price, and negotiation activity. 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain current knowledge and expertise of product engineering technologies, competitor capabilities and practices, market conditions, and market channels in order to develop short-term and long-term product marketing and sales strategies.
  • Establish and maintain contact with customers for the purpose of effective product marketing and sales. Some travel may be required to grow customer relationships (up to 10%)
  • Manage a team of project managers/Product Sales engineers who lead projects from quotation, production, delivery, to post orders activities (aftermarket, and warranty).
  • Develop and execute sales strategies in Profit Plan and Strategic Planning
  • Manage Omaha Power Center product line roadmap/strategy and ensure alignment with Eaton Product Line Strategy of MVA/MVS/GIS.
  • Coordinate customer visits and inspections at the Omaha facility to support product marketing and sales functions.
  • Manage the preparation of effective quotations, bids, and related negotiation documentation.
  • Plan and schedule customer product orders to achieve production loading objectives at maximum profit.
  • Coordinate customer orders with engineering and manufacturing to ensure effective support.
  • Manage and oversee the installation of products at customer sites as appropriate and coordinate product warranties and continuing service functions for customers.
  • Respond to technical questions from customers in a timely, concise, and professional manner to support product installation activities.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts, reports, summaries, and other documentation related to marketing activities, sales, billed, orders entered, backlogs, negotiations, and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan, recommend, and justify annual operating budgets and financial targets in accordance with known operational needs, strategies, and objectives.
  • Provide training, instruction, and guidance to employees to ensure their knowledge of products and marketing/service methods.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or project/product management in the electrical industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years in leadership/management of people (MOP) role.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Business Administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering from an accredited institution
  • Experience with medium voltage switchgear and assemblies.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated success in sales strategy, customer management, and market penetration
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI)
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution products, features, marketing and sales strategies, current market trends and existing competitive situations.
  • Ability to analyze product markets relative to competitor prices, market trends and product features to formulate effective marketing strategies and plans.
  • Ability to price products to attain desired company sales volume and market penetration considering current market trends, product features and existing competitive situations.
  • Manage and provide coaching to a team of Division Sales Engineers / Project Managers giving them targets for orders, pricing, and development.
