Description:

Position Summary:

The Senior Director, ePMO leads and manages the Program Management capability with responsibility of the overall Portfolio, Program, and Project Management (PPM) strategy while acting as PMO subject matter expert/advisor to the organization. As the needs of the business evolves this leader will continue to play a critical role in the end to end transformation of our organization. This includes the successful implementation of a cross functional, enterprise-wide set of transformational programs or projects delivered in a timely manner with quality and excellence. This position is responsible for a team of program/project managers, identifying resource constraints, establishing and maintaining the roadmap for portfolio execution, and ensuring interdependent projects and milestones are successfully managed. The successful candidate will provide oversight using leading project management principles and methodologies, monitor and control risks and impacts to execution, and influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization. Establish strong relationships with business sponsors and executive leadership to understand and identify effective solutions for business outcomes that align with BBU’s transformational objectives.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide thought leadership on BBU’s transformation journey (Project Denali) ensuring the team is fully focused on 100% of BBU’s key priorities 100% of the time.
  • Ensure successful execution of programs/projects consistent with the goals of the strategic plan.
  • Provide strategic and tactical direction/leadership to ensure optimal prioritization and resource optimization.
  • Design, implement, and evolve the enterprise program/project/change management capability; guide the application of program/project management methods and standards across the ePMO and organization.
  • Define, develop, implement, and train and ensure adoption of enterprise-wide program/project management standards, practices, tools, governance standards, processes, and metrics.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of the portfolio of project milestones, health, and budget to executive leadership and impacted stakeholders
  • Educate stakeholders on EPMO capabilities and standards and leadership skills, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and within the organization.
  • Cultivate a high-performance environment that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vision/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Education and Work History:

  • Bachelor's degree, master’s degree preferred.
  • 15+ years relevant work experience with a minimum of 5 years leading direct reports.
  • Leader with cross functional experience highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a variety of project methodologies beneficial (including Waterfall, Agile, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Knowledge and expertise in the use of collaboration and project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet,
  • JIRA, etc.
  • Project Management certifications (PMP, Agile Scrum, Prosci CM, etc.) preferred.
